Antique GERMAN violin by JOHANN CHRISTOPH MERZ, 1890

An excellent and great sounding GERMAN violin labeled JOHANN CHRISTOPH MERZ JUNIOR, Klingenthal 1890. This is a well made and great sounding instrument with a beautiful one piece back. There are a number of repaired cracks on the top, none of them in the soundpost area. The length of the back is 35.7cm.
