Teka Violin Chinrest in Rosewood by Figaro Importers

The Teka is a high side mounted chinrest favored for its leverage that assists many longer-necked violinists. It has a swooped surface that angles down to the left. Cup height is 29.5 mm at the highest point and 21 mm at the lowest point.

Figaro fine fittings are made only from the best sourced materials and finished by hand by craftsmen in a family owned business. The quarter sawn rosewood (Dalbergia Latifolia), is harvested in north east India. It is aged in the log for a minimum of two years. Only large logs with the straightest grain are selected for our fittings. Figaro Importers fittings are carved precisely to maximize acoustic performance, strength, and durability.  The cork (Quercus Suber) is the finest quality, fitted precisely to minimize acoustic interference and to maximize stability. The chrome fittings are all individually fitted by hand and are straight and thread easily.
