Nero Guarneri Violin Chinrest

The Guarneri model is the most commonly used chinrest in the world. This very comfortable medium height chinrest is the standard for today's violinist. This center mounted chinrest is 25 mm at the highest point. The arch underneath the chinrest has been carefully designed to clear peaked tailpieces, avoiding buzzes.

The Nero material is made in the USA from eucalyptus paper and thermosetting resins. It is pure black and mimics the finest Madagascar ebony. It is hypoallergenic and not susceptible to humidity or temperature change. The surface is impermeable to sweat and body fluids and therefore very easy to clean. The cork (Quercus suber) is the finest quality, fitted precisely to minimize acoustic interference and to maximize stability. The hardware is all individually fitted by hand and are straight and thread easily. There are no chinrests available that are superior.
