Figaro Importers Guarneri Violin Chinrest in Rosewood for 4/4 Violin

The Guarneri model is the most commonly used chinrest in the world. This very comfortable medium height chinrest is the standard for today's violinist. This center mounted chinrest is 22.5 mm at the highest point. The arch underneath the chinrest has been carefully designed to clear peaked tailpieces, avoiding buzzes.

Figaro fine fittings are made only from the best sourced materials and finished by hand by craftsmen in a family owned business. The quarter sawn rosewood(Dalbergia Latifolia), is harvested in north east India. It is aged in the log for a minimum of two years. Only large logs with the straightest grain are selected for our fittings. Figaro Importers fittings are carved precisely to maximize acoustic performance, strength, and durability.  The cork (Quercus suber) is the finest quality, fitted precisely to minimize acoustic interference and to maximize stability. The chrome fittings are all individually fitted by hand and are straight and thread easily. There are no chinrests available that are superior!
